1. What we collect

• Account information: your name and email, handled through our sign-in provider, Clerk.
• Billing information: processed by Stripe. We do not see or store your full card number; we keep a customer reference and your plan status.
• Audit inputs: the websites, brand names, and details you enter to run an audit.
• Audit results: the scores and recommendations we generate and store in your account.
• Usage and log data: basic technical information such as IP address, browser, and actions in the app, used to run and secure the service.

2. How we use it

We use your information to run your audits, manage your account and billing, provide support, keep the service secure, and improve how it works. We do not sell your personal information.

3. Who we share it with

We share information only with the providers that help us run the service:

• Clerk, for sign-in and account management.
• Stripe, for payments.
• Supabase, for database and hosting (located in the United States).
• AI providers (Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, and Perplexity), to run the audits. When you start an audit, we send your public site content and brand name to these providers so they can respond. They process it under their own terms.
• Resend, for account and transactional email.

4. Data retention

We keep your account information and audit history while your account is open. If you close your account or ask us to delete your data, we remove it, except where we need to keep records to meet legal or accounting obligations.

5. Your rights

You can ask to see the personal information we hold, correct it, export it, or delete it. Email [email protected] and we will respond. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the CCPA or GDPR.

6. Security

We protect your data with encryption in transit, access controls, and database-level row security so accounts can only reach their own data. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to keep your information safe.

8. Children

Worth Citing is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. We will post the new version with an updated effective date, and notify you if the change is material.
